Rehberg just had trouble getting out the vote. If we look at the 2010 to 2012 votes, Rehberg only increased his totals by about 355 votes, while the libertarians increased their totals against Rehberg by over 10,000 votes. And because Republicans have trouble getting out the vote, the Republicans have proposed doing away with same day voting. Republicans also want to eliminate the libertarian competition in the general election by proposing a top two primary, where the top two voter getters advance. Voters will not like the choice of two Democrats or two Republicans as choices for a certain office. California has top two and their 2012 presidential primary was the lowest in history at 30 %. Will Montana see this as well in both primary and the general election?
